But how to choose the right LED display. Maybe it is an old topic. But as far as I know, many friends don't know about it until they come to China. I choose the word "appropriate" instead of "good." Because different customers have different requirements. Good doesn't mean it's right, but it's good for you. (led light controller)
When you want to buy an LED display, it is always considered a project. So you should have a budget of $100,000, $80,000? Such a thing. Then it is detailed about your project, for example:
1. Where is the LED display installed? Indoor or outdoor?
2. What message content is needed? Video, photo or just a character?
3. What is your screen size? Width Height?
4. What is the minimum viewing distance from the screen to the nearest viewer?
5. What is the distance from the LED screen to the control system?
6. What is the type of installation? Mosaic, rod or something else?
After this information, you can get a general solution from your supplier. For example, if you want an outdoor display for advertising display, the viewing distance is about 17 meters, you are preparing for 100,000 US dollars, the supplier may recommend P16, Cree LED chip, 40 square meters. Ok, this solution sounds good, then you might want to check the quality, which is the most important for you. You don't want to buy a piece of paper for $100. So, how to judge the quality, maybe you can consider the following information:
The key factor:
1. Smoothness (surface flatness)
Keep the smoothness within 1 mm to ensure that the image does not bend. It depends on the assembly technique.
For indoor LED displays, it should exceed 800 cd / sq.m, and for outdoor, it should exceed 1500 cd / sqm. If the brightness is too low, the image will be completely blurred. Brightness depends on the LED lights you use and other factors
In general, for outdoor displays, the horizontal viewing angle is approximately 110 degrees and the vertical viewing angle is 90 degrees. The bigger the better.
4. White balance.
In order to display pure white, the ratio of RGB is 3:6:1, and if there is white blue or red, it is wacth. This factor depends mainly on the control system and LED lights.
5. The color can be recovered.
The color on the LED screen should contain display resources to maintain a good image.
6. Fault point, mosaic
Make sure there are no dead spots and mosaics on the display
These factors are very important when choosing an LED display, which is difficult for some unprofessional customers to maintain.
